The transformation has begun
Our team is still developing it but we have made some fantastic progress.
1. We’ve sponsored ditch clean ups in our neighborhood.
2. We held “ Garden Prep Days” to clear off the land and prep the area.
3. We have a water meter donated by the City of England (we do have to pay for water service though).
4. We have received material donations to build counter height raised beds for our senior citizens to garden.
5. We have repurposed some cedar tree cuttings into park benches and seating areas.
6. We have built pallet furniture with donated pallets.
7. We brought in dirt to build up the land.
8. And most recently we fundraised $3750 to buy a shed for the Garden.
9. We have planted our first round of veggies and our flowers and plants are blooming.
10. We applied for many grants and been awarded three so far.
